The Lauhtua scarf is made of silk twill in the  Pannukakkua ja mansikkahilloa (pancakes and strawberry jam)pattern. The edges of the scarf are stitched.

Maija Isola drew inspiration for her work from folk art and modern visual art alike, from nature and her countless trips around the world. The Pannukakkua ja mansikkahilloa (pancakes and strawberry jam) print is a captivating combination of ornamental and jewelry-like details. The name of the print derives from a Finnish dish Maija used to often make, to everyone’s liking, in the 1960s.
