Marimekko participated in the fully digital Copenhagen Fashion Week. Instead of a seasonal collection, Marimekko presented a seasonless conceptual film for its 70th anniversary year on Thursday February 4th. The film honors Marimekko’s revisited archetype silhouettes and the brand’s 70-year heritage in printmaking, all while celebrating the future, and the power of the individual to decide on their personal style.
Marimekko was nominated as one of the finalists in the first ever Zalando Sustainability Award at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Zalando Sustainability Award, organized in partnership with Copenhagen Fashion Week, aims to encourage fashion brands to explore alternative approaches to design and production in order to contribute to a more sustainable future.
