The long-sleeved Vinde bodysuit is made of soft cotton in the Tasaraita pattern, which features the printed Unikko pattern poppy flower in the front. There are snap buttons on the left shoulder and a triple snap button closure on the bottom. The neckline, sleeve ends, and leg openings are ribbed.

In her first year at Marimekko in 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with freehand brushstrokes. Three years later, a Piccolo print shirt called Jokapoika became the first piece of Marimekko menswear to hit the stores and the streets.

Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
