olkoon taifuuni dress
clothing
The Olkoon dress is made of cotton in the Taifuni pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. It has a concealed zipper in the back seam, cropped sleeves, and a triangle-shaped cut in the front with pockets in the seams. Printed fabrics are random cut in order to avoid as much unnecessary waste as possible, making each product a unique piece.
Taifuuni (typhoon) belonged originally to a series of patterns based on photographs depicting parts of the human body. The starting point for the Taifuuni pattern was the curve of the shoulder. The model for the photographs was the designer’s daughter.
