Below, we describe our general store policies and the way we do business.

All pricing on this website is in Canadian Dollars.

Shipping

We ship most orders by Canada Post. In Canada this takes up to 5 business days and to the US up to 10.  Overseas shipment normally go "surface" and can take 4 to 6 weeks. Customers needing faster delivery should contact us by email after placing the order. We will keep you informed on the status of your order through emails.

Marimekko will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense related to any delay in shipment or delivery.

Normally we ship out within 48 hours of receipt of the order.  Item shown as Special Order on the website need to be brought from Finland and may take up to 4 weeks to be delivered to you.

Occasionally, items that are normally stocked get back-ordered from Finland.  In this case we will inform you of the situation by email.  You then have the option of canceling the order with full refund.

Sales Tax

Marimekko Vancouver is located in British Columbia, Canada. We charge HST on all orders fulfilled to customers in B.C. Sales made and shipped to customers in other provinces are charged the HST if they have that tax in their province, and just GST if they do not.

Orders taken and shipped to customer in other countries, including the USA, are exempt from the HST.

Returns

Merchandise purchased from Marimekko Vancouver may be returned for store credit or exchange only within 14 days of receipt of goods if accompanied by original receipt and in original condition and in original packaging. Returns must be pre-authorized by calling 604 609 2881. Returns received and not pre-authorized will be subject to a 30% restocking fee. Special orders, cut fabric, and sale items are not returnable.

Refunds are not issued except in the case of defective merchandise that we are unable to replace. Returns should be properly packed and sent at the customer's expense, to: Marimekko, 1233 Hamilton Street Vancouver, BC V6B 6K3. Our cost of shipping the merchanise to you will be deducted from any credit issued for the returned merchandise. A store credit is valid for six months from date of issue. Thereafter, unused credit is forfeited. Claims for defective or damaged items must be filed within 7 days of delivery. Please inspect your items immediately upon delivery. Claims received after 7 days of delivery will not be processed.

Order cancellation

Orders cancelled after 2 days may be subject to a maximum of 30% cancellation and restocking fee in addition to any shipping charges incurred.

Changes to Terms and Conditions and To Site

Marimekko Vancouver reserves the right to modify or change the terms of use of this site with or without notification.

User Warranties

In placing an order, you warrant that you are over 18 years of age, and that you are providing accurate, true, and complete information, and that you have the authority to place the order.

Disclaimer of Warranties

You expressly understand and agree that your use of this site is at your sole risk and that this site is provided on an as isand as available basis. Marimekko makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of this site or the information, content, materials or products included on this site.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Marimekko Vancouver, its operator Mekko Designs Inc and its officers, directors, employees and suppliers, from any claim, demand, action or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made or incurred by any third party arising out of or related to your use of this site.
